Film Festival update

Broken Frame (Le Cadre Casse') is officially entered in the 2010 Cannes International Film Festival. We have until February 27 to actually send in the film, so we still have time to do the color correcting and sound mix -- but otherwise it is ready to go.

To date, Broken Frame is now entered in Seattle International Film Festival, Tribeca, Cannes and London.

Keep your fingers crossed.

It's offical,we are entered in SIFF. On Monday, January 4th I hand delivered a copy of Broken Frame to their office. We are now preparing to enter Tribeca Film Festival in New York City. Their deadline is January 11th.

Well it's 2010 and I thought everyone would appreciate an update on Broken Frame. About a month ago we wrapped the filming of Deconstructing Broken Frame and have since completed a rough edit of it. We are now feverishly finishing the final edit in time to submit it to the Seattle International Film Festival. Their deadline is January, 4th, so we don't have much time, but we will make it. We plan to enter it as a 'Work in Progress' and then polish it later. It still needs a sound mix/sweeting, and some cleanup work, but it's looking and sounding a lot better.

Below are some of the things we have been working on. Keep your fingers crossed.

Hi everybody,

Thank you for coming to the private screening of "Broken Frame" on November 1st. It was great seeing the old cast members and the rest of you. My goals were to entertain everybody with the screening, and make sure you had a great time at the party. I think we succeeded on both counts. Not to mention that we got some excellent footage of the party/screening, and some interesting interviews, portions of which will be used in "Deconstructing Broken Frame"

Thanks for your support and help, for participating in the filming of "Deconstructing Broken Frame", and for making the afternoon a huge success.

Hi,

Welcome to the blog for BROKEN FRAME. This is where you can learn more about BROKEN FRAME, get important updates, share information and reconnect with old friends, and see the Trailer for RECONSTRUCTING BROKEN FRAME.

As you may have noticed from the poster on the flip-side of your invitation, Broken Frame has been a work in progress for more than 20 years and just recently has been completed. The fact that it took so long is a pretty unique story in and of itself. As you may have surmised, Broken Frame is a trilogy consisting of:

RECONSTRUCTING BROKEN FRAME: a documentary explaning why it took twenty-two years to complete the movie.

BROKEN FRAME: the actual movie.

DECONSTRUCTING BROKEN FRAME: the final installment which will feature reactions and recollections from the cast, as well as updates on their lives over the past twenty-two years. This has not yet been filmed, but will be filmed live at the private screening of BROKEN FRAME.

I hope you will be able to join me to participate in the completion of this project. I'm looking forward to seeing you on November 1.
